Thousands of years old and effective for a wide range of conditions, acupuncture is a modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that involves the insertion of sterile filiform needles into the body at various points along pathways known as meridians.
Specific points and meridians treated depends upon your condition, which is diagnosed by your acupuncturist via intake, pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, and palpation.
These ultra-thin needles have been shown to reduce inflammation, lower cortisol levels, increase range of motion, and alleviate pain.
-
With acupressure, acupuncture points and meridians are activated by manually applying pressure or targeted massage.
The great thing about acupressure? It’s easy to teach! Even if you schedule a regular acupuncture appointment, you may be given some acupressure “homework” to practice on yourself.

Did you know that the ear can be used as a microsystem to treat the entire body?
Ear seeds are small, jewelry-like beads that remain applied for 3-5 days, and can be massaged to aid with sleep, alleviate pain, calm the nervous system, and promote balance.
They are available in gold or silver, and are made with latex free adhesive.
Sessions may incorporate acupressure and Tui Na massage techniques for a personalized, non-invasive treatment.

Moxibustion involves the burning of the dried, ground herb mugwort on or above the body at select acupuncture points.
This warming therapy encourages blood flow, boosts energy, decreases inflammation, aids with digestion, and alleviates pain.
Moxibustion has an earthy, incense-like scent and produces a light amount of smoke.
